Welcome to the UK's first Child Model Academy, offering children an amazing opportunity to being trained by actual CLIENTS and EXPERTS from the Industry.
Our academy offers training for children aged 5-17yrs, covering every aspect of the industry. Throughout the full days training, areas covered include: Commercial and Fashion Photography, Catwalk, Deportment, Posture & Poise, Hair & Make-Up, Audition Technique, Drama Improvisation, and Dance & Movement.
All children who attend receive an Industry Recognised Child Model Academy Certificate, as evidence of having been trained by Clients in attendance on the day.
Our success is the result of our commitment to helping children build confidence and achieve their dreams, while having amazing fun in the process!
Whether a child is serious about a career in the Industry, or would simply like to see if they would find it enjoyable, these Workshops are an incredible opportunity to be 'seen' and 'trained' by the best.
How CMA began
Our first Academy Workshop was held in 2004, London. Primarily, our intention was to give children a 'fun' day, whilst learning the basics of the Industry, however, it has since grown beyond our initial expectations. In 2007, we opened our doors to a leading UK Child Agency, who saw the benefits that training children could bring to their clients.
Our Workshops are held periodically throughout the year and are attended by Agency representatives, Film Directors, Creative Designers, Child Fashion Photographers, Casting Directors and various Clients from within the industry.
They are fantastic opportunities for children to be trained by the best, whilst being 'seen' by the best in the industry! All children receive an attendance Certificate. These certificates are recognised by clients/casting directors and show that the child has been trained and judged by Industry Professionals.
FULL DAY WORKSHOP (£65)

7. Model / Photographic Runway
8. Industry Familiarisation
9. Midday Catwalk Show with Paparazzi Photoshoot, all performed on red carpet.
10. Fully choreographed Dance Training.
11. Movement Tuition
12. End of day Dance Performance.
13. End of day Graduation Ceremony
14. All children are awarded an Industry recognised Certificate.
15. All children are awarded a mini trophy for their achievement on the day.
16. All photographs from the day will be available to view and save from our online gallery within 3 working days of the workshop.
Children should arrive in comfortable dancewear, or clothing they can easily move around in and suitable footwear (no shoes, or heels). One change of clothing and shoes if required, for the Catwalk Show is allowed and should be placed in a bag clearly labelled with the child's name.
All children will participate in a midday Catwalk Show and then a further end of day Dance Performance, which parents are invited to come back to watch.
Packed lunch should be provided by the parent, however we do have a Tuck Shop open for sandwiches, snacks and refreshments if needed.
Child Casting Directors, Clients and high end fashion photographers will be in attendance on the full days, with clients and high end fashion photographers attending the half day workshops, which is a fantastic opportunity and all children will be awarded an attendance Certificate, confirming their training for this highly acclaimed Workshop.
Child Model Academy Certificates have proven to be invaluable for those new to the industry and a great addition to the portfolio’s of those children already experienced.
Girls & Boys, aged 5 – 17yrs are all welcome. Please be advised that all candidates must be confident with strangers and other children, whilst also displaying a clear interest in wanting to attend. Children attending the Dance / Model Image Master-Classes must be have some kind of dance ability. Standard is not important, as all levels are encouraged to participate throughout the day. This is a class focusing on dance, movement & dramatic posing, so please ensure all attendees will join in all aspects of the day!
Fun and enjoyment is the primary aim of these Workshops, whilst preparing children for meeting clients and attending assignments.
How do I book a place on the next Workshop?
To reserve a place on the next Workshop, check RESERVATIONS for available dates and call, or email us.
Once your reservation and payment has been made, we will email you full details, directions etc, along with your receipt, which you should bring along with you on the day.
Photographs (minimum 500 from the day for the Full Day Workshops) will be available for children to view within 7 days from the Workshop date, on our online Gallery, details of which will be provided on the day. Option to purchase these shots is available at £4.75 each. The half day standard workshop includes 1 free portfolio photograph, which is emailed to the parent within 7 working days.
Please note that all photographs remain on site for a mimum of 28 days and will be permanently removed after 90 days. It is the purchasers responsibility to ensure they download them before this time, as refunds cannot be authorised once the link has been issued.
Once payment has been made, you have a right to cancel, or transfer ONLY if requested in writing and received by us up to 5 working days before the date of your booked Workshop. Due to the popularity of these workshops and low numbers allowed to attend on the day, we are unable to negotiate on this term.
